Not a Poem but still Poetry

A lot of musicians have been blessing us with new music lately... Hozier, Greta Van Fleet, and Sleep Token to name a few. TODAY Sleep Token and Greta have blessed us with new music!

Sleep Token has released their album 'Take Me Back To Eden,' and Greta Van Fleet has released their second track, 'Sacred The Thread,' on their new album 'Starcatcher.'

Let's talk Sleep Token, first!

Take Me Back To Eden

Earlier this month/late last month, ST released their songs 'Vore' and 'DYWTYLM.' While these are two wildly different songs, both are favorites of mine. Vore is a harder, heavier song while DYWTYLM is a more upbeat, "pop" song (as other fans have stated).

Other songs from the new album include 'Ascensionism,' 'Are You Really Okay?' 'The Apparition,' 'Rain,' 'Take Me Back To Eden,' and 'Euclid.' After listening to them all on my commute this morning, I am truly blown away as there is no single bad song on this album. I do have to say that Ascensionism and Are You Really Okay? are fighting to take the cake as my favorite. Middle school me would have eaten up Are You Really Okay? and current me is eating up Ascensionism.

Sleep Token has proven how much they exceed with how experimental they are... Metal, rock, pop, some rapping!? Yet, every song blends beautifully together.

All I know is that this album will be on repeat for months... I hope Spotify is ready to have Sleep Token as my #1 artist this year (Sorry, Greta).

Sacred The Thread - Starcatcher

I know Greta is going to blow it out of the water once this full album is released... Meeting The Master was released in April and fans gobbled it up (me, included). Late last night, they released Sacred The Thread.

Upon first listen, I felt like the guitar was heavy (which I loooove!!) and Josh's voice sounded very groovy. In my opinion, this song sounds very different from their other releases! I love watching Greta dive into something new.
